A change in the Management Board of GFA Certification GmbH came into effect on the 01.05.2016. Mr. Jörn Ackermann took over from the previous Managing Director, Carsten Huljus. As a trained carpenter and a graduated wood farmer with more than 15 years of work experience in the field of forestry and timber management, he looks forward to the new position with much anticipation.

Re-certification of the largest German FSC® COC Certification Group
After a successful re-certification audit, the new certificate was handed over at the beginning of July 2016 to the largest FSC certification group in Germany. GFA Certification congratulates and is looking forward to further successful cooperation.
PEFC Notifications and Accreditation’s
We are happy to announce that GFA Certification is now an accredited certification body to perform audits following the PEFC Forest Management Standards in Spain. Additionally, GFA Certification has been accredited to perform PEFC Forest Management (FM) audits in Russia and Germany. We have already issued our first certificates and are looking forward to many more to come! Including Spain, GFA Certification Certification is now notified to perform PEFC CoC audits in 10 countries… across the world, not taking into account countries managed by PEFC International, which are also eligible to be audited by GFA Certification. Of course, we are continually working on expanding our global certification services and we have planned more countries to follow. […]
