Steps for certification

RSPO certification of the supply chain (SCC)

Background of RSPO certification

Palm oil is efficient since it needs far less area for production than the same amount of other vegetable oils. With a share of one third of total global consumption, palm oil is the most popular vegetable oil in the world. The advantages of RSPO certification are clear: As a certified company, you contribute to the use of responsibly produced palm oil and thus fulfil the wishes of many customers in addition to your own standards. GFA is officially entitled to carry out RSPO supply chain audits. This form of certification is aimed at all companies that endeavour to produce certified palm oil products or are part of the supply chain. Here you will find more information about background and procedures for certification by GFA Certification GmbH:

Way to RSPO certification

Companies interested in RSPO certification create internal procedures and processes to ensure the traceability of certified palm oil or its derivatives through production and processing. The effectiveness of the system is verified and confirmed by GFA Certification through a certification audit and then by annual monitoring audits . Your Company is entitled to sell RSPO certified products after successful certification.

Costs of RSPO certification

Certification of companies according to the requirements of RSPO is not a set system with predictable fixed prices. The costs involved depend on the duration of the audit which in turn is dependent on the intended scope of the certificate as well as the complexity of business processes.
